Your areas

Areas are your growing spaces at each location. They are used to group your plants into different growing areas. For example, you might have a greenhouse as one area at your home, and a flower bed. At your vacation home, you might have a potato patch, for example.

On each area’s map, you can see the information you’ve set for that area and its location; you can also see how many plants are associated with the area. Moisture Target is the moisture level you want to maintain at that location. This particular feature is not yet fully developed.

To enter an area, simply tap the button with an eye on it.

QR Codes

You can print QR codes for all the plants you have in the area using the QR code button. You can then scan them using the built-in QR code reader.

Quick Watering and Fertilizing

You can quickly mark all plants in an area as watered or fertilized using the area cards; simply tap the corresponding button. This will mark the plants in that area as watered or fertilized.

Create a garden area

The area name is what helps you easily remember which one it is; for example, "Flowerbed" below.

Under "Area Type," you can select the type of area; if you have the appropriate permissions, you can create these different types in the settings.

"Location" is where the area is located, such as your home.

Under "Sunlight," you can select the location's orientation relative to the sun. This is helpful when you're ready to plant, as it gives you a heads-up if the plants require a different type of sunlight than what's available at that location.

You can enable the temperature and humidity fields if you use the REST API to send values from sensors. If you send temperature data, it will be used to warn you when it’s very hot outside.

Under “Under a Roof,” check the box if the location where you’re growing isn’t exposed to the open sky. That way, the automatic alert won’t warn you about this location when it rains.
